Hawkins clients working togetherMarch 2, 2012 | Hawkins Ryan
Two of Hawkins clients are working together on an exciting development project in King’s Lynn. Peter and Nicola Hancock from Barsby Produce , the fruit and veg specialists have linked up with Chalcroft Limited, the construction experts who are based in King’s Lynn but operate all over the country, to develop Barsbys’ old premises in Coburg Street, King’s Lynn as a new operating centre for Autoglass who will be moving from their existing premises in Austin Fields once the new unit has been completed.
Paul Sheerin of Hawkins acted for Barsby Produce when they acquired new premises on the Hardwick Industrial Estate in 2010 to cope with their rapid expansion and has acted for directors Peter and Nicola Hancock on the lease of old Barsbys site to Autoglass.
Paul said “When I saw what was involved in terms of the build of the new unit on the Barsbys site in Coburg Street, it was clear that it was right up Chalcroft’s street so I put Peter in touch with Mark Reeve, the MD of Chalcroft, and the rest, as they say, is history! Barsbys and Chalcroft are important clients of the firm so it’s nice to be able to bring them together on a project like this.”
Mark Reeve said “We are delighted to be involved in this project. It is exactly the sort of thing which we specialise in and it is right on our doorstep. I’m very glad that Paul thought to mention our name to Peter.”
The demolition of the existing structures on site is due to commence in the next few weeks and Autoglass should take possession of the new unit towards the end of the summer.
